How We Benchmark Action Games
No build reaches the download button without clearing a six-phase benchmarking protocol on real phones. No emulators, no sponsored passes. This document lays out the full procedure, the hardware rack, and the specialist who signs off on every build.
The benchmarking protocol
Phase 01
Origin sweep
The file is traced to its source and the package name is matched against the known-good release. Renamed or repackaged builds are eliminated at this phase and never touch a device.
Phase 02
Threat scan
Automated malware and signature analysis runs before any phone is involved. A single flag quarantines the file and terminates the protocol.
Phase 03
Deployment trial
Sideloaded onto each of the five rack devices. Install failures, permission anomalies, and first-launch behavior are logged per unit, including the full data download on real Wi-Fi.
Phase 04
Combat benchmark
The game is played, not just launched. Frame rates are measured in the busiest fights, input latency is tested on touch and controller, and thermal throttling is logged over 45-minute sessions. Numbers come from real play, never spec sheets.
Phase 05
Control interrogation
Touch layout, button responsiveness, and controller pairing are tested on every device. Dead inputs, mapping gaps, and latency spikes are documented with reproduction steps.
Phase 06
Authorization to publish
David Lin signs off on the build only when all five phases pass on every device. The file details (version, package, size) are published next to the download button so anyone can verify the file independently.
